Khaberni - Bloomberg News Agency revealed in a recent report that 3 oil and gas tankers linked to the Sultanate of Oman took a new navigational route along the Omani coastlines to enter the Strait of Hormuz.
The Agency explained that this move represents a fundamental shift in navigation, as the ships adopted the new route instead of the traditional passage through Iranian waters, reflecting a direction to secure supply chains away from tension areas.
This field move comes amid ongoing and increasing restrictions on navigation in the strait since the beginning of the latest military escalation between Washington and Tehran.
The sources indicated that some ships previously relied on a northern route that passes through Iranian waters, but the recent threats by "Trump" regarding the destruction of Iranian naval capabilities prompted shipping companies to innovate safer alternatives to ensure the continued flow of energy to global markets.
On the other hand, maritime security experts believe that this Omani step may indicate new international arrangements to avoid political and security complications in the region.
