Khaberni - Fans of the "Stranger Things" series on Netflix platform revealed a mistake in the events of the fifth season, where viewers noticed a discrepancy between the flashback scene involving Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) and his brother Jonathan (Charlie Heaton) and what was mentioned in the first season.

The narration of the first season
Jonathan narrated the story to his brother Will in an episode from the first season in 2016, where he told him that they stayed up all night to build the fort exactly as he had drawn it.

Jonathan added that the process took a long time because Will was bad at using the hammer and missed hitting the nail every time, then it started raining on them but they continued their work despite the rain, which led to them getting sick for about a week, but they insisted on finishing building the fort.

The new scene contradicts the previous narration
The fifth season presented a flashback scene showing the brothers building the same fort in broad daylight under bright sunlight, and they appeared happy and cheerful while working.

This scene contradicts Jonathan's previous narration in three main aspects, as the construction was during the day and not at night, the weather was sunny and not rainy, and the brothers appeared cheerful despite the fact that their father left home and left the family that day.

Reactions of the followers and the response of those in charge of work
One of the viewers commented on the X platform saying that the cheerful actions of the brothers do not fit the context of the event, because the day witnessed their father leaving home permanently, making their happiness in the scene completely illogical.

Other followers pointed out that this was not the first mistake in the series, as the creators had forgotten Will's birthday in a previous season and the fans had to remind them through social media.

In response, the official writers' room of the series commented on the criticisms through their account on the X platform previously, stating that some friends forget playdates and others forget birthdays, confirming that these things happen naturally.

About the series "Strange Things"
The Duffer brothers, Matt and Ross, created "Stranger Things" after working on the series "Wayward Pines," which was produced by Fox and directed by the famous director M. Night Shyamalan, where they drew inspiration for the series from 1980s classic films.

The work was initially named "Montauk" after the Montauk area in Long Island, New York, but the Duffer brothers faced great difficulty in convincing producers to change the name to "Stranger Things" because their minds were strongly attached to the original title.

The Duffer brothers initially planned to shoot the series in Long Island because they loved the coastal atmosphere there, where Montauk was the basis for the town of Amity in their favorite movie "Jaws", but filming in Long Island during winter was going to be impossible and very expensive, which led them to choose Atlanta, Georgia as the main production site.

About twenty television networks rejected the series before Netflix agreed to produce it, as the executive officials believed that a drama relying on four children as the main characters would not be able to attract the audience and would not achieve a successful investment.

The series has been tremendously successful since its first season in 2016, and the young actress Millie Bobby Brown, who portrayed the character "Eleven", became a global star after she shaved her head completely for the role, describing that moment as the most empowering in her entire life.

The Duffer brothers planned from the beginning to end the series in only five seasons, and Netflix executive Matthew Thunell confirmed that most of what was in the brothers' heads in 2015 is now being realized as the series approaches its end, where the cost of each episode of the fourth season was about 30 million US dollars, making it one of the most expensive drama productions in television history.
