Khaberni - Imad Al-Azzam, the head of the Greater Irbid Municipality Committee, confirmed that the municipality has completed setting up a full road network for the entrances to the new Princess Basma Hospital.
During a tour for media representatives, he said that the municipality had completed a series of roads, some of which were rehabilitated with asphalt mixtures, and others newly created and equipped, all serving as access routes to the hospital building to alleviate congestion on the main roads and facilitate easy and smooth access for patients and visitors.
Al-Azzam added that the total cost of the completed works exceeded 2.5 million dinars, including road construction, layering it with suitable engineering layers according to the highest technical specifications, in addition to creating rainwater drainage lines and fully lighting the area.
He explained that the municipality paved all the roads to the west of the hospital using a hot asphalt mixture, covering an area of about 30,000 square meters, alongside 80,000 in the hospital's vicinity, at an estimated cost exceeding half a million dinars.
Al-Azzam emphasized that the municipality has provided and equipped about 1000 parking spots in the area surrounding the hospital to serve citizens and facilitate their movement, noting that there are other roads that will connect the 100 road with the completed roads around the new hospital, in cooperation with associated governmental bodies.
