Khaberni - The White House confirmed on Monday that U.S. President Donald Trump will attend the draw for the 2026 FIFA World Cup finals at the Kennedy Center in Washington.
White House spokesperson Carol LeVitte stated, "President Trump will attend the draw for the World Cup finals on Friday at the Kennedy Center."
The United States, along with Canada and Mexico, will host the World Cup, with most matches, including the final, to be held on American soil, in this tournament which has expanded to include 48 teams.
Trump's announcement to participate comes two days after Iran declared its decision to boycott the draw, following the United States' refusal to issue visas to several members of its delegation, according to the Iranian Football Federation.
