Khaberni - Atletico Madrid drew with Arsenal 1-1 in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-final at the Metropolitano Stadium, in a Spanish-English summit that saw great excitement and penalty shoot-out advancements.
The visitors took the lead with a goal from Guekiris in the 44th minute after a penalty was awarded against Atletico, but the home side quickly equalized through Julian Alvarez who scored from a penalty in the 56th minute following a handball from Henchapi.
With this draw, both teams retained strong chances to advance before the second leg in London.
