Khaberni - Company Comptroller General Wael Al-Armouti stated that the number of companies registered in the past 11 months has grown in an unprecedented historical manner since 2014, with an increase of 46 percent compared to that year, in addition to the total capital being the highest ever.

Al-Armouti confirmed that these figures demonstrate compliance with the implementation of the economic modernization vision and are a result of governmental efforts in enhancing the business environment and adopting economic decisions.

He also emphasized that the Company Control Department continues to evolve technologically to improve the investor's journey when registering companies and implementing financial and legal amendments, and issuing certificates and documents in a fast and secure digital manner.

According to the department's statistical data; the number of companies registered in the kingdom in the past 11 months, from the beginning of this calendar year until the end of November, increased by 49 percent, compared with the same period of the baseline year 2019, and by 19 percent over the same period of the previous year 2024.

The number of companies registered during the same period was 6,988, compared to 4,700 for the same period of 2019, and 5,864 companies in the same period of the last year 2024.

According to statistical figures from the Company Control Department; the total registered capital in the 11 months of this calendar year exceeded 422 million dinars. Limited liability companies topped the list in terms of numbers since the beginning of this year until the end of November, with 5,103 companies comprising 73 percent of registered companies and with registered capitals totaling over 168 million dinars, followed by private joint-stock companies with registered capitals exceeding 164 million dinars.

The statistical numbers from the Company Control Department indicated a decrease in the number of companies that were dissolved or deregistered during the past 11 months of this year, by 73 percent compared to the same period of 2019, and by 28 percent for the same period of the last year 2024. The rate of total increase in capital during the same period rose by 602 percent, compared to the same period of 2019, and by 166 percent compared to the same period of the last year 2024.
