Khaberni - The College of Nursing at Al-Zaytoonah University in Jordan organized a scientific lecture titled "Nursing Care for Cancer Patients During Chemotherapy", presented by the expert Professor Saif Al-Jamal from the Ministry of Health, with the presence of the Dean of the College Dr. Hassan Abu Al-Raz and a number of members from both the teaching and administrative staff and students of the college.
The lecture aimed to enhance both the theoretical and practical aspects for students regarding how to provide optimal nursing care for cancer patients while receiving chemotherapy treatment, along with equipping them with the essential skills needed to practice the profession with high efficiency.
The lecture included a detailed explanation of the mechanisms of administering chemotherapy, a review of the most important nursing interventions that must be followed before, during, and after the treatment, in addition to highlighting the major possible complications and how to deal with them to ensure patient safety and continuity of treatment until completion. The lecture also addressed the role of nursing in educating patients and their families and providing supportive health guidance during the different treatment stages.
Dean of the College of Nursing Dr. Hassan Abu Al-Raz emphasized the importance of holding such specialized lectures, as they play a pivotal role in enhancing the students' efficiency and preparing them to enter the job market with advanced professional and scientific skills, indicating the college’s commitment to continuing to organize scientific activities that enhance the quality of education and support the academic journey of the students.
