Khaberni - Musab Al-Muhaidat, the Chairman of the Board of the Jordanian Company for City and Facilities Development, stated that the land prices adjacent to the new Omra city have seen a significant increase of 100% due to the increase in demand following the official announcement of the project.
Al-Muhaidat added via "Al-Mamlaka" about the details of the Omra city project, that the investment door in the city will not be opened until after raising the land prices in the area, due to the creation of important projects that contribute to enhancing the standard of the surrounding lands.
Al-Muhaidat illustrated that Jordan has not witnessed a construction wave similar to the new Omra city project, which is expected to start actual implementation at the beginning of the year 2026.
Al-Muhaidat explained that a study is ongoing for the establishment of an artificial lake within the city, indicating that Omra city will not be surrounded by walls but will be open to everyone.
Al-Muhaidat also confirmed that Omra city will not be a new capital or an administrative city, and it will not replace the capital Amman, but instead, it will be an independent city with a unique character.
