Rebid of the Operating Tender for the Rapid Transit Bus Fare Collection System  Phase One

Khaberni - The Ministry of Investment announced, on Thursday, the rebid of the preliminary qualification invitation for the project of operating the fare collection system for rapid transit buses (BRT) - Phase One, within the limits of the Greater Amman Municipality and between the cities of Amman and Zarqa.

The Ministry stated in an official announcement that the bid comes through the Public-Private Partnership Projects Unit, calling on companies or consortia with experience in supplying and operating smart transport systems and fare collection to participate in the preliminary qualification request for the project.

According to the announcement, the Ministry of Investment seeks to select a private sector operator to contract with the Greater Amman Municipality and implement the project through a transparent and competitive tender process, based on the provisions of the Public-Private Partnership Projects Act No. (19) for the year 2023, and in accordance with global best practices.

The Ministry explained that the tender process will be implemented in two stages, where the preliminary qualification request stage constitutes the first step in evaluating the applicants according to predefined criteria, allowing only the qualified entities to move to the final stage and receive the request for proposal document.

The Ministry clarified that those interested in obtaining the preliminary qualification documents should send an email titled (BRT Fare Collector RFQ Documents), to the email:

It is essential to clearly define the identity of the applicant within the content of the message.

The Ministry also mentioned that the qualification requests must be delivered personally to the Public-Private Partnership Projects Unit in the Ministry of Investment, in addition to electronic submission, with the applicants provided detailed instructions regarding the delivery mechanism within the qualification request documents.

The Ministry of Investment has set the final deadline for submitting preliminary qualification requests at 12:00 PM Jordan local time on Thursday, March 19, 2026.
