Khaberni - The Speaker of the House, Mazen Al-Qadi, affirmed the council's pride and honor in the retired military personnel and veterans who have provided the highest forms of sacrifice and loyalty to the nation.

Al-Qadi’s speech came during his meeting today at the House of Representatives with the Dignity Committee for Veterans, chaired by retired General Ghazi Al-Tayeb, confirming that retired military personnel are a priority for His Majesty King Abdullah II, as they have played a significant role and have distinct marks in the revival of Jordan and defending the homeland.

Al-Qadi said: It is our duty, in compliance with the royal high directives, to support the retired military personnel and veterans in various fields and to follow up on their demands and aspirations with the relevant entities.

Al-Qadi stated that the retired military personnel and veterans represent the epitome of fidelity and a cornerstone in the state’s journey, having spent their lives in fields of honor, and contributed to the revival of Jordan, emphasizing that both active and retired army and security personnel have always been a formidable shield for protecting the homeland, and they are the nation's asset and the first line of defense.

The committee affirmed its rallying behind the wise Hashemite leadership and its absolute support for His Majesty’s visions and aspirations, appreciating in this regard, the meetings held continuously by His Majesty the King with the retired military personnel and listening to their opinions and addressing their needs.

The committee also praised the supervisory and legislative role of the House of Representatives and its ongoing communication with the retired military personnel and veterans, confirming the importance of uniting national efforts to support the modernization journey led by His Majesty the King.

The committee raised a number of general issues and demands concerning the veterans and ways to implement them on the ground, improve their living conditions, alleviate the burdens on their shoulders, and remove the obstacles before them.
