Khaberni - The Minister of Transport, Nadal Qatamin, revealed the number of unlicensed vehicles, which are operating within the transport sector in the kingdom "smart transport applications".
Qatamin confirmed during the discussion of the Finance Committee's draft law on the general budget for the fiscal year 2026, today Sunday, that the vehicles operating in the kingdom without an official license reached 70,000 vehicles.
He pointed out that the regulatory instructions for transport via applications will be issued tomorrow, Monday, in the Official Gazette, which will reflect on the sector and regulate the violations in it.
He said that the government monitors 13,000 vehicles within the government vehicle tracking project, and achieved savings in fuel consumption amounting to approximately 4 million and 700 thousand dinars.
