Khaberni - UEFA imposed a fine of 30,000 euros ($34,749) on Atlético Madrid, plus a suspended one-match away ban for its fans, due to "racist and discriminatory" behavior by some fans during their 4-0 defeat against Arsenal in the Champions League last month.
UEFA also imposed an additional fine of 10,000 euros on the competing club from the Spanish top league after some of its fans threw objects during the match held at Arsenal's Emirates Stadium.
It added that the ban imposed on selling tickets to fans for an away match has been suspended for a one-year probationary period.
Atlético Madrid will return to the Champions League competition when they visit PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands on December 10th.
The team currently ranks 12th in the league phase of the Champions League with nine points from five matches.
