Khaberni - In a surprising and exciting twist in the transfer market, exclusive reports have revealed a strong desire from Portuguese star Joao Cancelo to leave Saudi club Al Hilal and return permanently to the ranks of Barcelona.
Account Krrish reported that Cancelo informed the "Blaugrana" management of his readiness to cut his salary by up to 70% to stay at Camp Nou and defend the colors of the Catalan club.
It said that the player, who currently earns 16 million euros annually with Al Hilal under a contract that runs until 2027, is ready to accept a salary ranging from 4 to 5 million euros only, plus incentives, to complete the deal.
It emphasized that the Portuguese full-back's agent, Jorge Mendes, is currently working to terminate Cancelo's contract with Al Hilal amicably, to enable the player to join Barcelona in a free transfer deal.
It continued, "The Saudi club does not seem ready to give up their star easily, as reports indicate they are demanding a transfer fee ranging from 10 to 12 million euros."
The same source added that Barcelona's sporting director, Deco, is intensifying contacts with Mendes to find a legal and financial exit that satisfies all parties, especially since the Portuguese player has made a final decision: "He does not want to return to Al Hilal next summer."
