Khaberni - Egyptian security investigations have revealed new details in the case of sexual assault on children at the "Seeds" International School in Al-Salam City, after investigations confirmed the capture of photographic materials related to the violations suffered by five kindergarten students at the hands of four school staff members.
Media reports have clarified that the recordings of the assault incident, which were taken by the perpetrators using their mobile phones while wearing masks, have opened a new path for the investigation, after the examining authorities suggested the possibility that these clips were circulated on the "Dark Web", indicating a potential link of the crime to networks exploiting children in illegal activities.
In the wake of these developments, the Egyptian Minister of Education, Dr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, confirmed that the ministry has begun taking urgent measures to hold those responsible for any negligence accountable and ensuring a safe school environment in all educational institutions.
The public prosecution began the investigation through a team from the East Cairo General Prosecution, where they listened to the testimonies of the children and their families in complete secrecy, in compliance with the law that prohibits the circulation of victim data, and the investigations concluded that the accused lured the children to places within the school away from the eyes of supervision and surveillance cameras, deceiving them into playing before assaulting them and threatening them with a knife to instill terror in them and prevent them from informing their families.
During a legally documented video presentation, the children were able to identify three of the accused, and the incident was referred to the child helpline, with a report from a specialized specialist confirming the reported violations.
Two of the accused confessed in detail, matching what the victims said, confirming that they exploited the young age and innocence of the children over more than a year, luring some of them away from school supervision.
A team from the public prosecution conducted a field inspection of the crime scene with the children, where they seized the knife used in the threat, in addition to physical traces related to the events, and one of the accused directed them on how to commit the crimes and their locations, which was documented in a filmed clip.
At the conclusion of the preliminary investigations, the prosecution ordered the provisional detention of the accused and referred the evidence, the accused, and the victims for forensic examination to prepare comprehensive technical reports, affirming the continuation of the investigation to uncover the extent of the incident's link to the Dark Web and to track any other parties that may have participated or benefited from these crimes.
