Khaberni - The Public Security Directorate said that the two brothers, wanted for carrying extremist ideologies, used their mother as a human shield while they fortified themselves at their location in the Ramtha district on Tuesday evening, in an attempt to prevent being targeted by security forces.
It added that a special security force arrived at the site, and immediately the wanted men started firing intensively, resulting in three members of the force being wounded, who were then transported to the hospital for treatment.
The directorate added that the security forces managed to protect their mother and move her away from danger without her being harmed, before the rules of engagement were implemented and the wanted men were killed.
The directorate also reported that the site where the brothers had fortified themselves was searched, and a collection of firearms and ammunition was seized.
