Khaberni - On Tuesday, the Director of Military Media, Brigadier General Mustafa Abdel Halim Al-Hiyari, delivered a lecture titled "Media Strategy of the Armed Forces" at the Royal Jordanian National Defense College for the students of National Defense Course 23, in the presence of the college commander and the head and members of the guidance council.
During the lecture, Brigadier General Al-Hiyari emphasized the Directorate's efforts to develop extensive military media that is capable of providing professional and appealing national content. This media adapts to the rapid changes in the strategic environment and reflects the message of the Jordanian Armed Forces and their national role. He pointed out that this approach is based on the visions of His Majesty King Abdullah II, who wants the state media to express the values of freedom and reform, and contribute to consolidating achievements and protecting national unity.
The Director of Military Media outlined the directives of the Chief of the Joint Staff regarding the necessity to highlight the professionalism and expertise of the military institution, enhance its achievements, and appreciate the sacrifices of its members. Additionally, he discussed the support from leaders at various levels to boost morale, combat rumors, propaganda, and media deception, and push military media to perform its national role in coordination with various media agencies in the country.
Brigadier General Al-Hiyari clarified that the media strategy of the Armed Forces is an intrinsic part of its comprehensive military strategy, which in turn serves the national strategy. This strategy is based on religious, national, nationalistic, humanitarian, and leadership fundamentals. It aims to develop military media discourse, strengthen national identity and values of loyalty and belonging, and guide public opinion towards maintaining comprehensive national security: security, defense, and development.
He added that the mission of the Military Media Directorate is to provide professional coverage and a positive image of the Armed Forces, which helps to boost the morale and combat readiness of its ranks. The Directorate also pays significant attention to documenting the history of the Armed Forces through creating comprehensive databases that enhance national identity and solidify the Jordanian military narrative.
