Khaberni - The Faculty of Law at Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan organized a specialized scientific lecture titled "Commercial Companies, the Stock Exchange, and Mechanisms for Offering Shares for Trading," presented by Dr. Suwar Al-Khatib, Professor Amer Al-Manaseer, with the participation of Professor Sherin Al-Omari, and Ms. Shahira Al-Assaf from Noor Al-Mal for Global Markets and Financial Brokerage LLC.
The lecturers discussed the definition of a commercial company and its various types, focusing on capital companies and public joint-stock companies, and explained the procedures for listing these companies on the stock exchange according to the approved legal frameworks. They also provided a simplified overview of the stages of the initial public offering (IPO), and the role of regulatory bodies in regulating trading operations, along with clarifying the mechanisms for buying and selling shares through financial brokerage firms.
The lecture also included a review of the asset classes traded in the financial markets, such as stocks, currencies, and commodities, linking theoretical aspects with practical issues that govern the operation of companies in regulated markets.
The lecture contributed to enhancing the practical knowledge of the students, linking legal and financial aspects of corporate operations, aligning with job market requirements and developments in the contemporary economic environment.
