Khaberni - Several areas in the Kingdom, on Tuesday, witness heavy rainfall accompanied by lightning and thunder, due to Jordan's being affected by a state of atmospheric instability.
According to the Meteorological Administration, today's weather will be unstable and slightly cold in most areas, and partly to mostly cloudy, with showers of rain in some western parts of the Kingdom.
It is expected that the rain will be heavy at times, leading to the formation of torrents in valleys and low-lying areas, including the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea areas, and may be accompanied by thunder and hail in some areas.
The Meteorological Administration indicated that the rainfall will gradually extend to cover scattered areas of the Kingdom at intervals, while the chances of rainfall decrease during the evening and night hours. The weather will gradually stabilize, with moderate northwesterly winds, which may occasionally become active and raise dust.
The Meteorological Administration warned of reduced horizontal visibility due to fog over high mountainous elevations and parts of the plains, and the danger of torrent formation in valleys and low-lying areas, especially in the western part of the Kingdom, including the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea. It also warned of reduced horizontal visibility due to dust in the desert areas, and the risk of slipping on roads experiencing rainfall.
The Meteorological Administration urged drivers to be cautious of the risk of slipping during rainfall.
