Jordan Wadi Araba road closure due to rising water levels

Khaberni - The Directorate of Highway Patrols in the General Security Directorate announced the closure of the Wadi Araba road, specifically in the Sudanese Triangle area. The decision was made because the rising water levels pose a danger to road users.

The Directorate reported that traffic has been closed in both directions, blocking movement from Al-Salmani station towards Amman, and also before the Sudanese Triangle towards Aqaba. This closure serves to ensure the safety of drivers and citizens.

The Directorate of Highway Patrols urged all drivers to fully comply with the instructions issued by its staff deployed in the field, and to take the highest levels of precaution and vigilance, given the weather conditions in the region.

The Directorate also confirmed that citizens can inquire about the road conditions around the clock by contacting the operations room of the Highway Patrols Directorate. It wished everyone safety, emphasizing the importance of keeping up to date with the situation until the road is reopened as soon as conditions improve.
