Khaberni - The head of the Parliamentary Financial Committee, Nimir Salihats, said that the committee's discussions on Tuesday regarding the 2026 budget will start with the Ministry of Finance and its affiliated departments, confirming that the discussions will conclude before the end of the current year.
Salihats pointed out that the discussions would be held daily, lasting between 10-12 hours, to ensure every institution is accorded the right to discuss, quality, and thorough analysis.
Salihats emphasized that the committee's focus is on capital expenditures and trying to reduce non-beneficial expenses, in addition to verifying revenue expectations are based on a consistent plan, and certainty in achieving them.
He specified that the discussions, which start with the Ministry of Finance and its affiliated departments, conclude their activities with meetings with the complete economic team.
