Khaberni - "Figure AI," a company specializing in robotics, is facing legal action due to one of its robots, which can easily crush a human skull according to a report published by "Tech Spot."
The lawsuit comes from Robert Grundle, a lead robotics safety engineer who claims that Figure dismissed him from his job after he warned about the human-like robot models the company was developing.
Grundle's lawyer asserts that his client warned the company's CEO Brett Adcock and the chief engineer Kyle Idleberg about the robots' ability to crush human skulls, stating that the robot managed to carve a quarter-inch deep gash in a steel refrigerator door during initial tests.
The robotics safety engineer at "Figure" says that the company asked him to prepare a safety measures plan to present to investors, but later significant parts of the plan were removed, misleading investors. Grundle is seeking economic, financial, and moral compensation due to his wrongful dismissal.
On its part, "Figure AI" insists that Grundle's dismissal was due to his poor performance at work, stating that his accusations are baseless.
It is noted that the company received an investment of up to 675 million dollars from "Amazon," "Nvidia," "Microsoft," "Intel," and even Jeff Bezos's private investment company "Explore Investment."
"Figure" expects to sell more than 200,000 robots by 2029 for various factories and homes, which would earn them more than 9 billion dollars in profits.
The report indicates that claims like those made by Grundle could affect the company's stock value and investor confidence, potentially disrupting its future plans.
