Khaberni - Starting at the Prime Minister's Office on Monday, workshops concerning the second executive program for the public sector modernization roadmap for the years 2026 - 2029 will commence and continue until next Wednesday, with the participation of experts and specialists from both the public and private sectors; to view and discuss the program intended to be announced in the upcoming period.
The State Minister for Public Sector Development, Badriya Al-Balbisi, will inaugurate the first workshop on Monday, which talks about the government services and procedures component and the data and emerging technologies component, followed by a session on Tuesday titled "The governance and regulatory environment component, the human resources and leadership component, and the institutional culture component", with the workshops concluding on Wednesday with a session on "The policies and legislation component and the spending efficiency component".
The Prime Minister's Office held seven discussion sessions to prepare for the second executive program for the public sector modernization roadmap, in addition to a series of interactive meetings with secretaries and general directors in ministries and governmental institutions; to discuss their recommendations and proposals to ensure the initiatives and objectives included in the second executive program for the roadmap are aligned.
It is noted that the public sector modernization roadmap was launched in 2022 and spans ten years, consisting of seven components: government services and procedures, governance and regulatory environment, policies and legislation, human resources and leadership, institutional culture, data and emerging technologies, and spending efficiency, aiming to achieve an effective and enabled public sector.
