Khaberni - The agenda for the fifth session of the second ordinary session of the 20th House of Representatives carries eleven laws for discussion, including the election of the head of the Financial Parliamentary Committee at the scheduled time on Monday.
Some of the most prominent legislative bills on the deputies' agenda are the amended Electronic Transactions Law for 2025, the amended Notary Law for 2025, the amended Waqf, Affairs, and Islamic Sanctities Law for 2025, the amended Sharia Enforcement Law for 2025, and the Gas Law for 2025.
The agenda also includes other projects, such as the Law to Ratify the Treaty on the Delivery of Persons between the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Kingdom of Spain for 2025, the Law to Ratify the Executive Agreement for the Assessment, Development, and Exploitation of Copper and Associated Minerals in the Abu Khashiba area, concluded between the government represented by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and Wadi Araba Minerals Company for the license to engage in exploration, development, operation, production of minerals (copper and associated minerals), and marketing for Wadi Araba Minerals Company for 2025.
In addition, there is the amended Integrity and Anti-Corruption Law for 2025, the Law to Ratify the Treaty on the Delivery of Persons between the Jordanian government and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2025, the Insurance Contracts Law for 2025, and the Law to Ratify a Loan Agreement between the Jordanian government and the Government of the Republic of Italy for 2024.
Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ibrahim al-Sarayrah, confirmed that the head of the Financial Committee will be elected on Monday, noting that two deputies are running for the position of head of the Financial Committee, namely Nimr Saleihat and Suleiman Kharabsheh.
He explained in a previous statement to "Khaberni" that there is no delay in choosing the committee chairs, specifically the head of the Financial Committee.
He indicated that the parliamentary committees will choose their chairs and rapporteurs on Monday, within the period allowed by the internal regulations, confirming that there is no delay in their selection.
