Khaberni - In a new development in the crisis of Sherine Abdelwahab with her family, Egyptian investigative authorities summoned Mohamed Abdelwahab to hear his statement regarding the complaint she filed against him, involving non-interference, amidst renewed disputes between the two parties over the past weeks.
This comes after Sherine Abdelwahab filed a report at the Basateen Police Department, bearing number 14940 for the year 2025, Administrative Basateen, where she requested the necessary legal actions to compel her brother not to interfere with her.
A Recurring Crisis
The tensions between Sherine and her brother resurfaced once again in November (November) of this year, after she filed the aforementioned complaint, adding a new episode to a series of disputes during the recent period.
The roots of the crisis trace back to October (October) 2022, when Sherine’s lawyer filed a complaint against her brother, accusing him of assaulting her and admitting her to a psychiatric hospital against her will, before that incident concluded with a reconciliation and the suspension of the investigations.
In June (June) 2024, a new crisis erupted after Sherine accused her brother of exploiting an old power of attorney to handle her accounts and digital affairs without her knowledge, considering it an exploitation of her then health and psychological condition.
However, that year’s crisis saw a partial resolution in September (September), after Sherine posted a photo with her brother on the "X" platform, offering him a public apology and affirming that she had misunderstood his stance previously.
For his part, Mohamed Abdelwahab responded with a statement in which he affirmed that his withdrawal from the scene was motivated by preserving his dignity and calming the situation, before later announcing the end of the dispute between them.
Denying Retirement Rumors
Concurrently with these developments, Sherine Abdelwahab denied the circulating rumors about her retirement from the art field, confirming her continuation in the artistic work despite the personal crises she is experiencing.
This came via an audio recording circulated on social media platforms, in which she clarified that she was in good health, working on preparing new works and artistic surprises for her audience, confirming that singing is an essential part of her life, and she is continuing her artistic career.
She added that she had faced difficult situations from some close individuals during the past period, but she is trying to overcome them, relying on the support of her audience, which she considers a source of her strength and continuity.
This comes after the hashtag #WhereIsSherine topped the lists of most circulated topics on the "X" platform, following increased questions about her absence from the artistic scene and her health status, along with scattered media and artistic statements about her activities in the upcoming period.
