The investigative authorities in Egypt renewed the detention of the accused of assaulting KG2 children at an international school for a period of 15 days, with continued inspections and intensive investigations.

The competent investigative authorities in Cairo decided to renew the imprisonment of the accused in the incident of assaulting several KG2 students at an international school in the Al-Obour area for a period of fifteen days pending investigation. This decision comes as part of a series of measures taken by the prosecution to uncover the circumstances of the incident and ensure the full conduct of the investigations.

Earlier, the investigative authorities accompanied one of the accused, along with one of the child victims, for a field inspection of the international school's premises located in the Al-Salam area, as part of an attempt to reconstruct a precise picture of the events and determine the responsibilities of the parties involved in the incident.

Abdel Aziz Az El-Din, the lawyer for the child victims, explained that investigations have been ongoing for 24 hours without final decisions being made regarding the accused, affirming that the competent authorities are making intensive efforts to reach the truth.

The investigative authorities also ordered a comprehensive inspection of the site of the incident inside the school, where four employees of the educational institution are accused of sexually assaulting six children within the school premises, on the Egypt-Ismailia desert road, as part of ongoing investigations.
