Khaberni - Dr. Ayman Al-Khatib, a faculty member in the Digital Supply Chains Department at the Business School, received the Hussein Award for Economic Research in its fourth session of 2025, for the category of Best Published Research in Green Economy, in partnership with Dr. Mohammad Al-Ghababsha from Mutah University, and Professor Mais Khatib
from Luminous College.
The winning research titled: "The role of organizational ambidexterity and frugal innovation in enhancing circular supply chains: The effect of artificial intelligence capabilities", was published in the Technological Forecasting and Social Change journal by Elsevier,
which is ranked in the Q1 category with an impact factor of 13.3, reflecting the quality and uniqueness of the research.
The significance of the research lies in its contribution to supporting green economy orientations and enhancing circular supply chains using innovation solutions and artificial intelligence, aligning with Jordan’s sustainable economic development goals.
Dr. Al-Khatib expressed his pride in this recognition, saying that this achievement represents the fruit of the support provided by Middle East University for scientific research and its ongoing efforts to empower researchers and produce studies with tangible national impact.
