Khaberni - In the context of Amman Arab University's strategic commitment to enhance the scientific research and contemporary analysis skills of its students, the College of Pharmacy at the university, supported by Professor Dr. Rana Abu Huweij, the Dean of the college, organized an advanced training workshop entitled "Data Analysis Essentials", orchestrated by the IEEE EMBS/AAU community and presented by Ms. Mai Al-Hawamdeh, a faculty member at the College of Pharmacy, attended by a number of students from the college.
The workshop included a set of advanced technical topics with a practical orientation, focusing on scientific and methodological methods to transform raw data into precise, inferable analytical insights, viewed as a fundamental element in supporting innovation and enhancing the quality of pharmaceutical research projects. It also provided a comprehensive introduction to data processing principles, including data cleansing and preparation techniques, aiming to ensure the highest levels of accuracy and credibility in analytical results, and included a significant practical aspect, which consisted of an applied introduction to three prominent statistical analysis tools and software used in the academic and research environment: SPSS, KNIME, and Prism. This enabled participants to gain a deeper understanding of how to use and apply these tools efficiently in their graduation projects and scientific research. At the end of the workshop, participants acquired practical skills directly applicable to their current and future research, contributing to the enhancement of the level and quality of their research outputs.
It is noted that this initiative is part of the continuous efforts by Amman Arab University to enhance a stimulating educational environment that supports academic and research excellence, and prepares students capable of innovation and outstanding scientific production. This step represents the commitment of the College of Pharmacy at the university to provide its students with modern research knowledge and tools that enable them to produce high-quality scientific outputs, in line with international standards. This event is part of a series of scientific and training activities organized by the IEEE EMBS community in collaboration with the College of Pharmacy, which aims to develop students' skills and empower them with advanced research and analysis tools, ensuring they keep pace with rapid developments in the fields of pharmaceutical sciences and biomedical engineering.
