Khaberni - Arab Bank recently signed a cooperation agreement with the Private University of Applied Sciences to issue the smart university card instead of the traditional university ID, which allows students to access various banking services both on and off campus. This also facilitates their entry through the university’s electronic gates. The agreement was signed by Professor Samiha Jarrah – President of the University for the Private University of Applied Sciences and Mr. Walid Samhouri - Jordan Area Manager for Arab Bank, in the presence of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, His Excellency Dr. Haitham Abu Khadija.
This smart university card provides many other services and benefits, as it can be used to pay tuition fees and purchase values at points of sale inside and outside the campus, as well as cash withdrawal and deposit services at ATMs. It also offers the possibility to benefit from special discounts when using the card for shopping at a wide network of selected commercial stores, which includes various sectors that meet the needs of students.
In her comment on this cooperation, Jarrah indicated that the signing of this agreement came in the context of enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two sides, particularly through the presence of a bank branch within the campus that provides comprehensive banking services to students and members of both the teaching and administrative bodies. She explained that the university’s vision and strategy are based on expanding the areas of joint work with institutions from the public and private sectors, contributing to the exchange of experiences and enhancing institutional integration in the long term.
In turn, Samhouri expressed his pride in this cooperation with the Private University of Applied Sciences, which reflects the bank's commitment to meeting the needs of various community groups, especially the youth. He pointed out that the bank continues its efforts to offer advanced banking services and products that meet the aspirations of this category, and are in line with their changing lifestyles and evolving requirements.
The "Youth" account from Arab Bank is one of the most prominent banking solutions specifically designed for the youth category, providing the possibility to open an account electronically via the "Arabi Mobile" app, and issue a Visa card without monthly fees, in addition to receiving welcome reward points, exemptions from some commissions, exclusive discounts at a selected group of restaurants and entertainment centers, along with free digital banking services and a dedicated customer service center.
