Khaberni - An 18-year-old Turkish teenager committed a horrifying double murder in the state of Diyarbakir, after he fired a shotgun at his mother and older brother in their bedrooms, before fleeing and leaving a shocking message for his father.
The crime occurred inside a residential complex in the Salahaddin Ayubi neighborhood in the Baglar district, where the father, who was in Ankara, tried to get in touch with his family on the eighth floor without success, which prompted him to notify relatives.
When family members arrived at the building, they saw the son, Emre Turgut (18 years old), fleeing while carrying a hunting rifle, prompting them to immediately inform the emergency center, and soon ambulance and police teams arrived at the scene.
According to the website "haberler," security personnel found inside the apartment the mother Elknur Turgut (52 years old) and her son Onur Turgut (26 years old) killed in their beds, due to direct head injuries from gunfire, and the bodies were transferred to the forensic medicine institute for necessary examinations.
The police managed to apprehend the suspect shortly afterward in a park near the residential complex, with the weapon used in his possession, and an extensive investigation was opened to determine the circumstances and motives of the incident.
In another development, the security teams found a letter inside the house left by "Emre" for his father on a table in the living room, in which he expressed his remorse for what he had done, noting that he also intended to end his own life.
