Khaberni - President Donald Trump announced on his "Truth Social" platform that he will meet with New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani on Friday in the Oval Office.
Trump wrote, "The communist Mayor of New York, Zohran Mamdani, requested a meeting. We decided that this meeting will be on Friday, November 21, in the Oval Office."
The socialist winner of the New York mayoralty, Mamdani, expressed his readiness on the sixth of this month to discuss with his major opponent, President Trump, on the issue of living costs.
The American legislator, a Muslim who surprised observers with his rapid rise, joked with journalists during a briefing, saying, "The White House has not reached out to congratulate me."
He added, "I am still interested in having a conversation with President Trump about ways we can work together to serve the residents of New York,” mentioning fulfilling the “electoral promises he made,” among them tackling the cost of living.
Like Trump, Mamdani focused on the cost of living, the impact of inflation, and the rising costs of essential materials at the heart of his successful electoral campaign against the previous governor Andrew Cuomo.
