Khaberni - The oil refineries belonging to the Israeli company "Bazan" in Haifa Bay in the north of the country were damaged and a fire broke out there today, Monday, due to a simultaneous missile attack from Iran and Lebanon on northern and central Israel.
A fire broke out near an Israeli oil refinery due to an Iranian missile attack. The Israeli Fire Authority said today that an industrial building and a fuel tanker at the Haifa oil refineries were hit by shrapnel from an intercepted missile, and there were no reports of injuries.
Decline and Damage
In a direct impact, the Israeli army radio reported a 2.5% drop in the share price of the "Bazan" group after its oil refining stations in Haifa Bay were targeted by a missile attack.
Videos circulating on social media platforms showed flames emanating from a fuel tank owned by "Bazan". The official Israeli Broadcasting Authority said: "In Haifa, direct damage occurred to an industrial building, and damage to a residential building," but the Israeli Minister of Energy, Eli Cohen, stated that no damage was done to the production facilities at the oil refineries in Haifa, indicating that the fuel supply would not be affected.
Iran previously targeted the Haifa oil refinery with a rocket barrage on March 19, and the Israeli Ministry of Energy said the attack caused significant damage.
Shrapnel and Damage
In addition to Haifa, the private Israeli Channel 12 reported that rocket shrapnel fell on the city of Shefa-Amr in the north, causing damage to buildings. The channel pointed out the detection of 7 shrapnel fall sites in northern Israel.
Israel imposes a significant blackout and strict censorship on its losses from falling or intercepting rockets and drones, preventing the circulation of visuals regarding the locations of the falls.
Yesterday, Sunday, a large fire broke out in a chemical plant near Be'er Sheva in southern Israel, due to an Iranian rocket barrage.
