Khaberni - Artist Amal Maher spoke about the tragedy that she experienced following the death of her father, explaining that his health condition required a liver transplant, but there was not enough time to save him, so he passed away affected by his illness.
She affirmed that this painful experience marked a turning point in her artistic and personal life, leading her to decide to participate in charity concerts to help those in similar circumstances.
During her interview with media personality Lamis El Hadidi, Amal Maher said that her father's illness was one of the hardest periods she had experienced, adding: "I didn't know what to do, and the time had passed."
She continued: "After that, I decided to participate in charity concerts so that I could help even a small percentage. My voice is all I have, and I do not count the big concerts; I look at what I can offer and contribute."
Amal also discussed her visits to children suffering from heart and liver diseases who had undergone transplant operations, pointing out the impact of these visits on her, saying: "I saw children who had undergone heart and liver transplants... It made many things in the world seem small to me. I felt how they are heroes, and how one must feel ashamed when complaining. Being among them and happy with their smiles was a special deed for me."
