Ministry of Youth Global Entrepreneurship Week an Opportunity to Celebrate Ambitious Youth Ideas and Projects

Khaberni - The Directorate of Initiatives and Voluntary Work at the Ministry of Youth organized, on Wednesday, an entrepreneurship symposium to mark the Global Entrepreneurship Week, with the participation of over 600 young men and women entrepreneurs and owners of small and medium enterprises.

Youth Minister, Raed Al-Adwan, confirmed during his sponsorship of the event, attended by the Minister of Labor Dr. Khaled Al-Bakkar, General Manager of the King Abdullah Fund for Development Abdul-Fattah Al-Kayed, and General Manager of the Al Hussein Fund for Excellence and Innovation Dr. Ali Yaghi, that the Global Entrepreneurship Week represents an important opportunity to celebrate ambitious youth ideas and projects.

Al-Adwan indicated that entrepreneurship, education, and technology are principal axes in the national youth strategy, from which programs and projects emerge and are implemented according to the plans of the ministry, the directorates, and the affiliated youth centers, highlighting the importance of the symposium in giving young entrepreneurs and their projects the opportunity to network and meet with supporting entities.

The symposium included dialog sessions that began with a session on enhancing motivation, featuring Dr. Bilal Al-Wadi, Director of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center at Al-Zaytoonah University, Mohammad Obeidat, Director of the Queen Rania Center for Entrepreneurship at Princess Sumaya University for Technology, Dr. Nour Khreis, CEO of Mays Alward, and Fadi Marji, General Manager of Evergreen Investments.

The activities also included a session on the power of technology in business development, featuring Jaser Al-Harasis from Robotna Company, Engineer Farah Odeh from Darb Co., and Engineer Batool Al-Rashdan, founder of "B.O.R" company. The session discussed the role of digital tools in improving projects and enhancing their ability to reach markets, as well as supporting technical solutions to address challenges facing entrepreneurial sectors.

The symposium also featured an exhibition of entrepreneurial projects from institutions and entrepreneurship and innovation centers in universities, alongside small and medium youth projects. Dr. Al-Adwan toured the exhibition and entrepreneurial business stations.
