Khaberni - The Italian team fell again into the defeat trap against their Norwegian counterpart with a score of 4-1, at the Italians' stronghold San Siro Stadium, on Sunday evening, within the last round of the European qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
The result granted Norway a direct qualification card to the World Cup, while the hosts now have to go through the European playoffs.
The Italian team opened the scoring through Francesco Esposito (min 11).
In the second half, Norway turned the tables on the Italians, when Antonio Nosa scored for his national team (min 63), then Erling Haaland scored two goals within two minutes (min 78 and 79), and in the stoppage time, Oergen Strand Larsen scored the fourth goal for his national team (min 90+3).
