Khaberni - Lebanese President Joseph Aoun praised Riyadh's desire to enhance trade relations with Beirut and remove obstacles that hinder Lebanese exports to Saudi Arabia.

President Aoun commented on the statements of a senior Saudi official to "Reuters" saying, "The time has come and we are waiting for the Kingdom, especially since I have repeatedly affirmed that Lebanon's protection comes from our Arab surroundings."

Yesterday, the Saudi official revealed that a Saudi delegation will soon visit Lebanon to discuss removing export barriers to the Kingdom, and he also clarified in statements relayed by Reuters that his country will soon take steps to enhance trade relations with Lebanon.
In the same context, the Saudi official appreciated the initiatives of the Lebanese government and presidential heads, noting that the Lebanese government's efforts to prevent its use as a platform for threats will lead to progress in bilateral relations, and the high-ranking official confirmed in statements exclusive to Reuters that Lebanon has shown efficiency in reducing drug smuggling to Saudi Arabia.

Alongside, Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam praised in a tweet on the (X) platform Saudi Arabia's initiative in announcing its readiness to take imminent steps to enhance trade relations between the two countries, and to lift the barriers in front of Lebanese exports, affirming that the Saudi leadership is always keen on the stability and prosperity of Lebanon.
