Khaberni - The Ministers of Interior of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries held their 42nd meeting at Bayan Palace in Kuwait, chaired by the Kuwaiti Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef, the First Deputy Prime Minister and President of the current session.
The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jasim Al-Badiwi, emphasized that the joint efforts of the Interior Ministers in the Council countries have resulted in security achievements that have enhanced the state of security and stability in the Gulf countries, in accordance with the directives of the GCC leaders.
Al-Badiwi mentioned that the GCC countries now enjoy a regional and international stature, have become a destination for visitors and investors, which reflects the state of security and stability in our homelands, recalling in the same context the achievements made on the level of joint Gulf action, summarized by "the Gulf Strategy for Combating Drugs 2025-2028, and the accomplishment of developing systems and linking traffic violations among the GCC countries with a very high percentage."
In the same context, the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jasim Al-Badiwi, reviewed the recommendations reached by the Interior officials in the Gulf countries similar to the Gulf Security Strategy for Combating Money Laundering 2026-2030, preparing a workshop on the Gulf Strategy for Combating Cybercrime and Artificial Intelligence in cooperation with the UN Office UNODC, a workshop on the Gulf Strategy for Combating Extremism 2026, an initiative of the Gulf Security Conference 2027, and preparing for the first phase of the Single Point of Travel project by air between the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Bahrain, which will be launched this year, and will be generalized to the Ministries of Interior in the Council countries.
