Khaberni - - It acts to slow down the absorption of fats in the intestines and enhance liver functions
Black cumin seeds (black seed), scientifically known as "Nigella sativa," are gaining increasing scientific recognition due to their therapeutic properties in supporting cardiovascular health, as they contain biologically active compounds such as thymoquinone, carvacrol, and nigellidine, which are characterized by their antioxidant, anti-inflammatory properties, and their ability to lower blood lipid levels.

Scientific studies published in the Journal of Ethnopharmacology have shown that adults who regularly consumed black seed saw a decrease in total cholesterol levels, harmful cholesterol, and triglycerides, with an increase in beneficial cholesterol levels.

These seeds work to slow the absorption of fats in the intestines and enhance liver functions by supporting the secretion of bile and protecting harmful cholesterol from oxidation, which leads to plaque buildup in the arteries.

Regarding blood pressure regulation, a study published in the Journal of Plant Medicine Research found that participants who took black seed extract daily for eight weeks showed a significant decrease in systolic and diastolic blood pressure compared to the placebo group. This effect is due to the ability of the compound thymoquinone to relax the smooth muscles lining the walls of blood vessels, which dilates the arteries and improves circulation and reduces pressure on the heart.

Black seed also contains healthy fatty acids such as omega-6 and omega-9, and B vitamins that support metabolism and energy production, along with essential minerals such as calcium, iron, and zinc necessary for boosting immunity and blood health.

Prominent nutrition experts advise consuming half a teaspoon of raw seeds after breakfast with warm water, or mixing them with honey to improve taste and obtain additional antibacterial benefits. Cold-pressed black seed oil can also be used in the amount of one teaspoon with warm water or herbal tea.

This natural practice aims to promote the body's internal balance and improve cardiovascular health over the long term.
