Safia El Omari said in her statements on the sidelines of the opening ceremony of the Cairo International Film Festival: "In my life, I am a calm person and not strong, but I chose strong roles because they helped release energy within me, and that might be the secret to the success of my roles."
She emphasized that the characters she portrayed do not reflect her true personality, but were her means of expressing inner artistic energies.
El Omari explained the reason behind her recent absence from the scene, saying: "The roles that suit me have been missing, and that's why I am absent from the screen... waiting for work that adds to me and matches the artistic journey I have presented."
Safia El Omari directed a clear message to the new generation of artists, saying: "Approach art with respect, study, and focus, not for the show or trends... because art is not about temporary fame, art is a mark on history, and if the artist makes his mark, then he has truly succeeded."
