Sheikha Al Nouis expressed her appreciation for the member states and their confidence in her leadership for the upcoming phase, affirming that tourism is "a bridge for human connection and a tool to enhance peace and development." She explained that her future vision is based on innovation, sustainability, and the development of human capabilities, as well as supporting local communities, providing capacity-building programs, and facilitating access to financing, especially for developing countries.
Furthermore, the Emirati Minister of Economy and Tourism, Abdullah Al Marri, described the selection as "a historic and significant moment" for the region and the world, confirming that the international consensus on the Emirati candidate demonstrates the standing that the country holds in tourism and its economic diplomacy, and it enhances its role in supporting sustainable tourism development and building bridges of connection between peoples.
He noted that the achievement is a result of the supportive approach of the Emirati leadership towards excellence and innovation, and the empowerment of national talents in international organizations, reaffirming the UAE's commitment to continuing to support the programs of the organization and to enhance its international partnerships, highlighting the pivotal role played by the Emirati aviation sector in connecting the world and facilitating tourism movement.
