Khaberni - Korean K-pop star Hyuna suddenly fell on stage while performing her song "Bubble Pop" at the Waterbomb 2025 festival in Macau, just days after announcing she had lost 10 kg in just one month, amid significant pressure about her weight.
Footage circulating online showed the moment she fell to the ground while the dancers around her tried to offer support before security personnel carried her off the stage to receive immediate care.
South Korean media reported that the 33-year-old star had previously been diagnosed with 'neurocardiogenic syncope' in 2020, a condition that causes a sudden drop in blood pressure and heart rate, which may be triggered by stress, extreme fatigue, or a harsh diet.
Health experts have confirmed that rapid weight loss can lead to nutritional imbalances, which may have contributed to the sudden fainting, according to the "Daily Mail".
After regaining consciousness, Hyuna sent a message to her fans on her Instagram account, apologizing for her fall and reassuring her fans that she is fine, emphasizing her focus on improving her physical fitness and continuously working to enhance her performance, and that she is currently resting after the incident.
It should be noted that Hyuna began her artistic career at the age of fifteen with the group Wonder Girls, but she faced health problems due to her strict dietary regimen, including reducing her food intake to just one piece of sushi a day, which led to neurological disorders and frequent loss of consciousness, before she later returned as a solo artist and a member of the group 4Minute.
