Khaberni - Khaberni – Exclusive
A citizen in the city of Ramtha, north of Jordan documented farmers using sewage water to irrigate their crops, in agreement with companies specialized in transporting sewage water.
The citizen told Khaberni that their complaints started two years ago because the farmers resorted to using sewage water for irrigation of crops, which resulted in foul smells and significant environmental harms.
He pointed out that the residents living near these farms have filed dozens of complaints to the authorities in Irbid, but the problem has remained unresolved to this day.
