Khaberni - Deputy Atallah Al-Hunaity, from the Islamic National Party, posed a parliamentary question to the Prime Minister based on the provisions of Article (96) of the Constitution, and in accordance with the provisions of Article (123) of the internal regulations of the House of Representatives, inquiring about the rationale behind exempting last week's artistic concert held in the capital Amman for the artist "Haifa Wehbe" from taxes.

Al-Hunaity questioned the reasons for granting this exemption at a time when the government finds it difficult to provide tax exemptions for economic projects that contribute to attracting investment and creating job opportunities, noting that the price of a concert ticket exceeded 500 dinars.

The deputy demanded that the government clarify the reasoning behind holding such concerts tax-exempt, in light of the economic circumstances which – according to him – require the stimulation of productive rather than recreational investment.
