Khaberni - Deputy Khaled Abu Hassan confirmed that the House of Representatives agreed to decide 90% of the committee memberships through "consensus" to avoid division.

Abu Hassan reported that the Council will discuss the general budget on Tuesday after it is presented by the government, and that work will be conducted on electing the committees.

Abu Hassan mentioned that the parliamentary blocks in the Council agreed to send two representatives from each block to the parliamentary committees, and an agreement was made on 90% of the committee memberships.

Abu Hassan also confirmed that independents were included in the main committees such as the legal and financial ones, noting that the selection of committees was not random but based on expertise, effectiveness, and interaction with colleagues within the Council.

Abu Hassan pointed out that the selection of the Speaker of the House of Representatives was made by consensus despite some tension from certain parties, emphasizing the prioritization of national interest above any representative.
