Trump demands all American air traffic controllers to return to work

Khaberni - American President Donald Trump, on Monday, said he would recommend a reward of $10,000 for air traffic controllers who did not take any leave.

Trump demanded in a post on his platform "Truth Social" that all American air traffic controllers return to work immediately.

He said, "All air traffic controllers must return to work, now (...) Anyone who does not do so will be 'eliminated' significantly."

He continued, "For the air traffic controllers who were great patriots and did not take any leave because of the 'Democratic shutdown trick', I will recommend a reward of $10,000 per person for outstanding service to our country."

He added, "For those who did nothing but complain, and took leave, despite everyone knowing they would be paid in full, in the near future, I am not satisfied with you. You did not intervene to help the United States against the fake Democratic attack that was only aimed to harm our country. You will have a negative mark, at least in my mind, on your record. If you wish to leave the service in the near future, please feel free to do so, without any pay or end-of-service reward of any kind! True patriots will quickly replace you, who will better handle the sophisticated modern equipment, the best in the world, which we are currently ordering. The previous administration wasted billions of dollars trying to fix 'old junk'. They had no idea what they were doing!"

Airlines canceled more than 1500 flights in the United States on Monday, for the fourth consecutive day, amid ongoing government reductions in flights and absent air traffic control staff.

According to the FlightAware website for tracking flights, more than 1550 flights were canceled by 7:45 AM Eastern Time (1245 GMT) while 1200 flights were delayed, after canceling 2950 flights and delaying nearly 10800 flights on Sunday in the worst single day of flight disruption since the government shutdown began on October 1st.
