The Cabinet decided in its session held today, Sunday, led by Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassan, to approve a memorandum of understanding with the government of the Republic of Burundi on organizing the employment of Burundian domestic workers, with the aim of cooperation, enhancing coordination and consultation on labor-related issues between the two countries.

The memorandum of understanding prepares for the recruitment of workers from the Republic of Burundi under the same conditions as recruitment from other countries; aiming to diversify markets and increase competitiveness, which reflects on labor costs.

The Council also decided to approve a memorandum of understanding between the Public Prosecution and the Supreme Council of Justice represented by the Public Prosecutor in the Sultanate of Oman for judicial and legal cooperation, for the purposes of cooperation, exchanging expertise and experiences between the parties in the related fields.

The agreement comes in the context of fraternal relations and the ongoing pursuit to enhance them between the two brotherly countries in various fields.
