Khaberni - When crises intensify and all doors close, recklessness sometimes becomes the only solution for survival.
In his quest to keep his family safe and improve his situation after a series of failures and debts, Sattam (Mohammed Aldukhi) finds himself in a big predicament, leading him to concoct the strangest and most insane plan: kidnapping his father and demanding ransom; believing that it would save him from his troubles.
But what starts as a desperate attempt at salvation turns into hilarious chaos and successive disasters when his reckless friends get involved in the "kidnapping operation", and lies and paradoxes intertwine in a vortex of situations where tension mixes with light-heartedness and comedy. Every step opens a new door of trouble, and every lie brings worse consequences.
"Hostage" offers a journey of a failed father and entrepreneur trying to survive with dignity and protect his family, in a merciless world that waits for no one. A film that smartly combines suspense and satirical comedy, painting a picture of humanity pushed to the limits of despair; about failure that fosters cunning, the good intentions that sometimes misjudge, and between the desire for salvation and the price that must be paid.
