Khaberni - Dr. Taha Al-Tamimi, Director of Health Directorate in the Capital, confirmed that the Ministry of Health continues its efforts in upgrading and developing healthcare facilities as part of a comprehensive plan aiming to improve and enhance the quality of healthcare services provided to citizens.
Dr. Al-Tamimi explained in an interview with Public Security Radio "Public Security FM" that these measures are part of implementing the vision of His Majesty King Abdullah II aimed at improving healthcare standards and providing the best services to citizens across the kingdom.
In response to an inquiry about the health centers that will undergo temporary closure for maintenance purposes, Dr. Al-Tamimi clarified that some health centers in the capital will be closed for maintenance and expansion works, with patients being redirected to alternative health centers. The affected centers include:
Abu Nseir Health Center in the University District, where patients will be redirected to Sweileh Comprehensive Health Center, Jbaiha Comprehensive Health Center, and Shafa Badran Primary Health Center.
Marka Comprehensive Health Center, where patients will be redirected to Nasr Comprehensive Health Center, Tariq Comprehensive Health Center, Hashemi Comprehensive Health Center, in addition to Rabwah Primary Health Center.
Joufa Comprehensive Health Center in Qasabah District, where patients will be redirected to Princess Basma Comprehensive Health Center, Qweismeh Comprehensive Health Center, Taj Primary Health Center, and Awaadah Primary Health Center.
Dr. Al-Tamimi noted that the centers to which the patients will be redirected are fully equipped, and the patients will not incur any additional costs under the item "overpassing reference," and healthcare staff will be distributed among the centers to ensure comprehensive medical services are offered, alleviating the burden on visitors and employees.
He added that the duration of the maintenance works at the health centers will be as follows:
90 days for Marka Comprehensive Health Center.
90 days for Joufa Comprehensive Health Center.
120 days for Abu Nseir Comprehensive Health Center.
Dr. Al-Tamimi pointed out that all the mentioned health centers utilize a computerized system that allows doctors to access all patient-related information, such as medications, tests, and X-ray images, by logging into the system using the national number and patient’s personal data.
Dr. Al-Tamimi answered a question from the radio about the reason for completely closing the centers rather than partially, indicating that partial closure could cause dissatisfaction among visitors and affect the progress of projects, which could lead to delays in technical and technical works. Therefore, a decision was made for complete closure to ensure that the work is completed on time and to avoid any delays.
The maintenance works in the health centers include painting, tiling, in addition to rehabilitating the health facilities.
Dr. Al-Tamimi explained that Marka Health Center would witness the installation of an elevator according to approved specifications
Dr. Al-Tamimi emphasized that the ministry is diligently working on improving the work environment in the health centers, which contributes to providing high-quality medical services that meet the citizens' needs.
