Royal Tour in Asia to Enhance Jordans Economic Partnerships

Khaberni - His Majesty King Abdullah II arrives on Sunday in Tokyo, the first stop on his Asian work tour, which in addition to Japan, includes Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, and Pakistan.

The royal tour aims to strengthen cooperation between Jordan and these countries, and enhance partnerships, especially in economic and investment fields.

In Tokyo, His Majesty will meet with Emperor Naruhito of Japan, Prime Minister Sanai Takaitchi, and Japanese ministers and officials.

His Majesty the King will meet representatives from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the Japan External Trade Organization, and Japanese companies.

Jordan is scheduled to sign cooperation agreements and memoranda of understanding in various fields with Japan, during the meetings of His Majesty the King on the sidelines of the tour.

His Royal Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince, has sworn in as the deputy to His Majesty the King, in the presence of the Cabinet.

In the Vietnamese capital Hanoi, His Majesty will hold talks with Vietnamese President Long Kông, Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính, and senior officials.

His Majesty the King will attend parts of the Jordanian-Vietnamese Business Forum, with representatives from the private sectors of both countries, and a dialogue session to discuss establishing a partnership in the apparel sector.

In Singapore, His Majesty will have meetings with President Tharman Shanmugaratnam and Prime Minister Lawrence Wong.

In Jakarta, His Majesty the King will hold talks with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and meet with representatives from the Indonesian Sovereign Wealth Fund.

His Majesty concludes his tour in Pakistan, after meeting with Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif.

Jordan is scheduled to sign cooperation agreements and memoranda of understanding in various fields with Indonesia and Pakistan, during the meetings of His Majesty the King on the sidelines of the tour.
