Khaberni - The President of the Commissioners' Council of the Independent Election Authority, Engineer Musa Al-Maaytah, stated that political pluralism is a condition for the continuation of the democratic process.
He emphasized that the authority is committed to providing everything necessary for political parties to build their capacities in various fields according to what the law allows and without interfering in their core work.
He added that Jordan continues in the political modernization process as implemented under the vision of the Jordanian state and the vision of His Majesty King Abdullah II.
He pointed to the necessity of having political parties that derive their policies from reality, maintain national stability, ensure unity, and provide real opportunities for the youth to play an effective role in the change process.
This came during his sponsorship of the conclusion of the third and final stage of the Political Institute Program for Parties, which is one of the programs of the Authority to enhance the capabilities of political parties, in cooperation with the Netherlands Institute for Multiparty Democracy, and with support from the European Union within the program of supporting democratic reforms in Jordan.
In turn, Bashar Al-Khatib, representative of the Netherlands Institute for Democracy, spoke about the importance of cooperation with the Independent Election Authority and support for the democratic reform program in Jordan.
The training, which lasted over three months from last September to November, included six training programs each lasting four days, targeting the youth segment in parties under the age of 35 years, with participation from more than 35 young men and women from various political parties.
The program covered the following topics: political theory, law and democracy, youth and parties and governance, political economy, political communication, and electoral systems, conducted by a group of Jordanian experts and trainers in the mentioned fields.
In conclusion, Al-Maaytah distributed certificates to the participants.
