Khaberni - Al-Ramtha team officially secured their place in the quarterfinals of the Jordan Cup football tournament, after overcoming their opponent Amman FC with a lone goal in the match held on Thursday at the Prince Mohammed Stadium in Zarqa.
The precious winning goal for Al-Ramtha was scored by their young star Momen Al-Sakit, who took advantage of a ball inside the penalty area and powerfully shot it into the goal of Monther Al-Zoubi at the 17th minute.
Al-Ramtha team suffered a severe blow after the referee issued a red card to their goalkeeper, international player Malik Shalabiya, in the 37th minute for handling the ball with his hands while he was outside the penalty area, in front of the opposing striker.
Tomorrow, three matches will be held in the round of 16, where Ma'an and Shabab Al-Jordan will meet at four in the afternoon at Prince Mohammed Stadium, followed by Al-Ahli and Al-Sarih at seven in the evening at King Abdullah II Stadium, while Al-Salt will face Al-Hashmiya at the same time at Amman International Stadium.
